In-House Design

Every costume starts with a pencil and an idea

We do not source from other suppliers. Every Zebra and Friends costume is conceived, sketched, and developed by our own design team — from first rough drawing to final stitch.

Most costume brands are resellers. We are makers. Every detail — from fabric weight to trim colour — is a deliberate choice, not a compromise.

Our design process takes time on purpose. A new collection can take months to develop, because we browse raw materials, sketch by hand, engineer patterns, and test every prototype before it goes into production.

1
It starts here

Pencil meets paper

Every collection begins as hand-drawn sketches. Our designer explores silhouettes, proportions, and character details on paper before anything goes digital. This is where a themed world takes shape — not as isolated products, but as a complete family of costumes and accessories that belong together.

2
Sourced with care

We choose every fabric and trim

We maintain our own library of fabrics, laces, ribbons, and trims — and our own colour card. Each material is sourced and tested before it enters a design. When we select a velvet for a medieval cape or a lace for a fairy-tale dress, it is because we have felt it, stretched it, and washed it ourselves.

3
Precision engineering

From sketch to digital pattern

Once a design is approved, it moves into our CAD system where every pattern piece is drawn, graded across all sizes, and optimised for cutting efficiency. We control the fit from the smallest children size up to adult XL — because we do it ourselves, not through a third party.

Shot @ the Zebra studio

Every product is photographed and filmed in our professional in-house studio with green-screen setups. That means consistent, high-quality imagery you can use directly in your store or webshop — no extra investment needed on your side.
